Delivering high-speed broadband across Ireland.
The National Broadband Plan (NBP) is the Government’s most ambitious, multi-annual
infrastructure initiative in the history of the State. It aims to enhance the broadband
landscape in Ireland, ensuring that all citizens and businesses have access to the
digital opportunities and benefits of high-speed broadband connectivity, no matter
where they live or work.
GOAL
The communications goal for advising on the National Broadband Plan (NBP) was to
effectively support the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications
(DECC) in promoting and managing the NBP.
The aim was to build public trust and understanding of the NBP, highlighting
its benefits and progress, and to manage the relationship with National Broadband
Ireland (NBI) to ensure successful implementation and delivery of high-speed
broadband across Ireland.

The Work
- Ensuring clear, consistent, and compliant messaging to all stakeholders, facilitating engagement and
collaboration, and addressing any issues that could impact the reputation of the
initiative.
- FINN Partners worked as part of a joint service team, alongside management consultants, Ernst & Young (EY), to support the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC) in the delivery of the NBP for the Government of Ireland and managing the contractual relationship with their infrastructure provider, National Broadband Ireland (NBI).
