OUR WORK irish dental association
Promote the interests of the dental profession and promote the well-being of the population through the attainment of oral health.
As the Irish Dental Association’s corporate and public affairs partner since 2022, FINN Partners Ireland works closely with the executive team of the Irish Dental Association to advocate for improvements in the legislative and policy areas specific to oral healthcare and to maintain the reputation of dentists in Ireland.
We work with the internal communications team, the CEO and various executives within the company in developing and delivering communications campaigns on key strategic business priorities and opportunities.
Utilising a combination of public affairs engagement, reputation building and corporate communications’ tactics we developed a data-led campaign to highlight the inefficiencies within the government’s oral health policy, and were invited to present our findings to the Oireachtas Health Committee.
GOAL
Highlight the key issues of concern to the dental profession with both the public and political stakeholders.

The Work
The annual conference was attended by tier one media, including Fergal Bowers, RTÉ’s health correspondent, and Niamh Griffin, health editor of the Irish Examiner. FINN Partners Ireland’s media relations strategy culminated in securing all tier one media elements, including RTÉ six one news, RTÉ Morning Ireland, Newstalk Breakfast, Virgin Media News, Irish Times, Irish Independent, Irish Examiner and Irish Daily Mail coverage.
Media coverage allowed us to engage the membership of the Oireachtas Health Committee which led to an invitation to present to the Committee.
Highlights include:
- Secured media interviews for the past-president of the Irish Dental Association, Dr Caroline Robins, with RTÉ’s Morning Ireland programme, and with Newstalk Breakfast, in addition to the radio news bulletins across RTÉ, Newstalk and the wider Bauer Media network of stations.
- The Annual Conference event was widely featured in top tier national media outlets including The Irish Times, the Irish Independent, and the Irish Examiner.
- We secured the front page of both the Irish Independent and the Irish Examiner.
- Our news story was covered widely across all regional media outlets, including Shannonside radio, Highland Radio, the Laois Nationalist and the Cork Echo among many others.
Our presentation to the Oireachtas Health Commitee garnered further coverage of the issues we raised across national media, such as the Irish Examiner and the Irish Independent.
