Helen Ames is a Partner in the Travel/Lifestyle practice of Finn Partners. Having started as an account executive at the agency in 2003, Helen has worked on a diverse range of travel and hospitality clients including Air France-KLM, where she was part of the communications team during the unprecedented joint venture agreement with Delta and the worldwide launch of the Airbus A380, the largest aircraft in existence.
Current clients include Hilton Latin America and the Caribbean, Seven Stars Resort and Spa, Air France – KLM, and Hampton Hotels.
Helen oversaw the trade and development work for almost all of the Hilton portfolio of brands including Hampton Hotels, Hilton Garden Inn, DoubleTree by Hilton, Embassy Suites by Hilton, Conrad Hotels and Resorts, Waldorf Hotels and Resorts, and the two newest brands Curio – A Collection by Hilton and Canopy Hotels.
Aside from travel-related campaigns, Helen has worked on economic development clients including Invest Atlanta, the city’s economic development agency chaired by the Mayor of Atlanta, Kasim Reed. Finn Partners rebranded Invest Atlanta to solidify their vision and goals to stakeholders, business leaders, community leaders, and residents as it fortified its position as a leading destination for innovation, technology, business, and investment in a 21st-century global economy. Helen oversaw the NASDAQ bell ringing, bringing together twenty cutting edge tech entrepreneurs with investors, and business and education leaders from Atlanta to the NASDAQ Times Square Site to launch Invest Atlanta’s new mission.
Helen has also coordinated special events of all sizes including hotel grand openings, media lunches and press conferences, entertainment, and sport related events for Jamaica and multi-city trade road shows for RETOSA (Regional Tourism Organization of Southern Africa.)
Helen is a Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate in Theater Arts and Drama and a minor in English from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. A native Torontonian and conversational Cantonese speaker, Helen is a proud New Yorker having called the city her home for fourteen years.
