FINN PARTNERS Shines Bright in the Sunshine State

FINN PARTNERS is shining bright in Florida after sweeping the 2020 PRSA Sunshine District Radiance Awards, recognizing the highest professional achievements in strategic public relations programs by practitioners and organizations within the statewide Public Relations Society of America district.
This year’s client work claimed five awards, plus the program’s Best of Sunshine top honor for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Fort Lauderdale Art & Design Week campaign. Historically overshadowed by neighboring Miami, Fort Lauderdale is home to a vibrant creative culture and an emerging arts scene that’s attracting international recognition. FINN leveraged the inaugural Fort Lauderdale Art & Design Week, anchored by the third annual Art Fort Lauderdale – “The Art Fair on the Water,” to beam an overdue spotlight on the destination’s arts and culture scene.
Loud Amplification Through Strategy Integration
Working with event organizers in advance of Fort Lauderdale Art & Design Week, FINN integrated creative assets—including a promotional video and imagery—to to develop an interactive press release and four-week social media campaign activated through multiple channels to support event attendance. To build momentum for continued growth of the annual event, FINN planned and hosted an immersive press trip for top-tier media to experience Fort Lauderdale Art & Design Week, garnering coverage from outlets including Forbes and Toronto Sun. Our integrated communications campaign proved to elevate and establish Greater Fort Lauderdale’s arts and culture profile, ultimately increasing event attendance by 19 percent from 2018 to 2020.
