The Work

FINN secured millions of impressions through earned media while building strong relationships with key media influencers across the technology and startup genres, doubling KPIs for media attendance and coverage well beyond the previous Disrupt shows. Through our work, we expanded TechCrunch Disrupt’s U.S. and international media presence with the following key programs:

Media Relations: TechCrunch Disrupt brings together key leaders across various vertices from AI, SaaS, sustainability, fintech, hardware and more. FINN conducted deep media landscape research for the variety of vertices to ensure we were getting in front of relevant media. Leveraging the historical reputation of TechCrunch disrupt and the key speakers attending the show, FINN secured 150 media RSVPs to attend the show.

On-site Media Activations:

Media Exhibit Tours: Each day of Disrupt, media were invited to join 30-minute guided tours of select exhibiting Startup Battlefield companies on the show floor.

Daily Media Alerts: Proactively shared a snapshot summary of the key leaders and discussions that took place daily on the variety of stages. The media alerts served as a tool for media to pull valuable information including summaries, videos and images for their coverage pieces.

Startups: Proactively pitched over 300 participating startups to relevant reporters as well as facilitated a press conference and interviews for Startup Battlefield content finalists.
