BOOM SCROLL: APRIL 2025

April 9, 2025

Need to speed-read your social feed? Here’s the social intel from last month you definitely need to know.

tl;dr

Facebook goes OG, LinkedIn levels up integration, Reddit ads crash the conversation, and Instagram takes reposts in-house.

#1 Facebook: FB goes OG

Miss the good old days of liking your friends’ and family’s posts and pics? You’re in luck! The new revamp is taking Facebook back to its roots.

💥 The Boom

  • The new Friends tab filters the algorithm, only serving up content from people you know.
  • Zuck says the move brings Facebook back to its roots as a personal connection hub.

Our take

Your organic company page posts probably weren’t getting seen anyway, so this separate feed isn’t a bad thing. More time engaging with real friends = more eyeballs for those Facebook ads we told you to run last month!

#2 LinkedIn: Integration nation

Inbound leads? Great! Scheduling them manually? Not so much. But good news –  the LinkedIn Calendly integration makes it easier than ever. Plus, Zoom joins LinkedIn Live.

💥 The Boom

  • Premium users can schedule meetings right from their profile with Calendly.
  • LinkedIn Live integrates with Zoom for seamless streaming.

Our take

LinkedIn integrations make connecting with you all-the-more convenient. Encourage your employees to try out these new integrations to keep the leads flowing.

#3 Reddit: Ads crash the conversation

Reddit is expanding Conversation ads to let brands serve an ad where it makes the most sense: between relevant comments.

💥 The Boom

  • Advertisers can reach high-intent users deeper into the comments section.
  • The expansion comes with updated designs and enhanced brand safety tools.

Our take

Ads work best when they’re relevant, and nothing’s more relevant than the hyper-specific comments on Reddit. Embedding ads further into the comments is a great way to expand the reach of a campaign, and connect with an audience already talking about what you want to talk to them about.

#4 Instagram: Regrams get a redo

Regramming has always meant clunky third-party apps or screenshots. Not anymore. Instagram brings reposting in-house, with native sharing right to your feed.

💥 The Boom

  • Instagram is adding a new repost icon under photos and Reels to allow users  to repost content directly to their feed.
  • Don’t see the icon yet? No worries! It’s being rolled out gradually to all users.

Our take

Regramming is already the norm on the platform (via Stories), but they lack the reach of feed posts and Reels. But now that your followers can regram your content, your reach and engagement could increase exponentially. Make sure your content is engaging and share-worthy, so it’s poised for success.
